My Interview

I went on an interview for a new position at my current job this past Friday. The new position is a Senior Quality Improvement Auditor. Right now I am a Senior Quality Improvement Representative. The new position is in my same department and it's a considered a promotion. I interviewed with 4 people. 3 were from New York and 1 which is my current supervisor in Florida. I am really excited and nervous about the new position. I think I did very well during the interview process now it's just a matter of waiting for an answer. Seven of us in my department had an interview. Theirs was earlier in the week so I had an advantage and already knew some of the interview questions that was going to be asked.

We are expected to hear something back the supervisor over that team and our manager this week. It's definitely time for a new position. I've been with the company for 6 years and my last promotion was in 2009 which is the department I'm currently in now. This is my second time applying for a new position at my job. Hopefully, next class I will be telling you all "I GOT THE JOB".

My supervisor told me today I was one of the top candidates for the new position. That was exciting to hear. If I do get the position, I'm going to give myself 1-2 years to get familiarized with it and then I'll shoot for a supervisor and one day even become a manager. But right now I'm taking it one day at a time. Wish me luck everyone.

Church

Church was awesome yesterday. My daughter and I went to this church in Sanford called Calvary Temple Of Praise. I was referred there by one of my co-workers. From the moment we arrived the choir was on point. Praising, singing, dancing, it was great! I was on my feet the whole time. The preacher was great as well. The sermon was great as well. Have you ever felt like the preacher is talking about you when he speaks? This is how I felt on Sunday. Everything about my life, my romantic relationships, etc. he was speaking directly to me. Isn't that insane! Church was so good I even gave them $10 in tithes and offerings. I normally don't even give that much at one time. I can't wait until next Sunday to go back again.

After church my daughter and I went to my co-worker's baby shower. She is having a little boy on June 30th (scheduled C-section) named Reshawn Jr. "RJ". We arrived at the party very late. It was almost over when we got there but she still got her gift and we still ate some delicious food and cake.

The remaining of day was pretty laid back. I cooked an awesome dinner which included greens, red beans and rice, and baked chicken. Afterwards, I watched the Billboard Music Awards and Married to Medicine until bedtime.

Mother's Day

Let me tell you about my Mother's Day weekend. Friday my daughter (Anniya) drew a picture for me of a flower and underneath wrote "Happy Mother's Day Mommy" " I love you". She also gave me some tea bags from school (vanilla flavor). She is the sweetest little girl. That's my baby! I always look forward to her Mother's Day gifts every year.

Saturday night my boyfriend (Nick) and I went to go see Katt Williams at CFE Arena. I've never been to a comedy show before. The show was supposed to start at 7pm but ended up starting after 8pm. Before he came on three other comedians came on stage and warmed the crowd up. They were hilarious. One (by the name of Red) was actually better than Katt Williams. I use to see him on B.E.T.'s Comic View back in the days. Katt Williams came on after 9:00pm. He was pretty funny. After the show, my boyfriend and I went to Orlando Ale House and ate dinner. The food was okay--could've been better.

Sunday, my daughter and I just hung out. Watching movies on Lifetime and playing cards. Overall, I had fun on my Mother's Day weekend. As long as I can spend time with the ones I love the most, that's all that matters.

My Weekend

This weekend was awesome! Friday night I went to the Prime Outlet in Orlando to buy a Michael Kors purse with my daughter and niece. And I love it! This is my first time purchasing one and I'm so in love with. My purse was $300. And guess what....I don't care. It was worth every penny. I rarely ever buy myself anything. I can't wait to go back and buy another one.

The rest of my weekend was pretty boring. I worked from home Saturday and Sunday. I monitored about 30 calls both days. So far I now have to coach 8 Member Service Reps and I've only listened to 13 representative for the end of the month. The 8 MSR's I listened to got under a 97% for the month. It seems like the more reps I listen to, the more coaching sessions I have to conduct. That's definitely the down fall of over time.

Now that my weekend is over, it's back to work and school (Not that I ever left work anyway). I'm currently sitting in Computer Applications class learning about Digital Device and Multimedia. My teacher is great but I'm ready to go home and chil-lax.

Good Night Everyone!
